NSMTC Health Services provides quality and equitable services, advocacy, and support in a timely, collaborative, family-centred, strength-based, and culturally-meaningful manner, with Indigenous languages, cultures, and teachings at the centre.
What We Do
Service coordination that ensures all First Nations children living in Canada can access the resources and supports they need, when they need them.
A First Nations-led health-transformation initiative, developed through Sankewitahasuwakon, that supports the reclamation of health systems and advances accessible, culturally safe, and community-driven health care across New Brunswick.
Pre-natal, post-natal, and newborn care for pregnant mothers and their babies by focusing on the emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of the whole family.
A framework that ensures all First Nation children and families have the opportunity to experience high-quality, culturally safe early learning and child care programming.
Capacity-building within First Nation communities to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequities.
Programming that helps enhance child development and school readiness for children living in First Nations communities on reserve.
Support for First Nation community-based prevention programs aimed at reducing suicide rates and improving health outcomes.
Clinical supports through Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology that assist children and families with culturally informed, strength-based care.
Support services for community-based workers within First Nation communities.
Support for NSMTC Member Nation communities through advocacy, policy development, and capacity-building.
Solicitation of funding from outside agencies to expand projects within the NSMTC, to the benefit of our First Nation communities.
