Fish Leather Feasability Study Sessions

NSMTC Energy Services is hosting two online community information sessions about the Fish Leather Feasibility Study. The study is exploring whether a Mi’kmaq-led fish leather processing facility could create economic opportunity for NSMTC’s seven member communities, using local fish skin supply, natural tannins, and skilled production.
Cookville Solar Community Q&A Session

NSMTC and BNRG are hosting a Community Q&A Session for neighbours, community members, and anyone with questions about the proposed Cookville Solar Project. The project is a 150 MW utility-scale solar energy development planned for the Cookville area, about 20 kilometres northeast of Sackville. The session will take place on July 15, 2026, from 7–9pm at the Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Centre Mezzanine in Sackville, NB. Attendees will have an opportunity to learn more about the project and ask questions. Questions can also be sent in advance to CookvilleSolar@BNRG.ie.

2026 Atlantic Indigenous-Led Energy Symposium

The 2026 Atlantic Indigenous-Led Energy Symposium marks our 5th year of convening First Nations leadership, utilities, government, industry, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, innovators, and youth to strengthen partnerships and advance Indigenous leadership in the energy sector.
Last year’s symposium was widely described as a standout experience. Participants praised the meaningful sessions, strong connections, and thoughtful execution that made the event both impactful and energizing. As we celebrate five years of growth and collaboration, we are planning what we intend to be our strongest symposium yet.
