Supporting Our People To Reach Their Education Goals
The NSMTC Post-Secondary Education department strives to increase post-secondary enrollment and graduation rates among students in our seven Member Nation communities. Students enrolled through our program are provided with funding and support which may include tuition, books and supplies, travel, living allowance, and tutoring.
What We Do
Handbook
The Student Handbook is designed to familiarize students with the NSMTC Post-Secondary Education Program and local guidelines.
IMPORTANT: Students are required to have read the NSMTC Post-Secondary Education Student Handbook before submitting an application for post-secondary financial assistance to the North Shore Mi'kmaq Tribal Council (Declaration of Understanding, NSMTC PSE Application Form).
Apply Online
Use the links below to complete your Post Secondary Financial Assistance application and upload your required documents. Please ensure that you have read the NSMTC Post-Secondary Education Program Student Handbook in full before beginning the application process.
IMPORTANT: Applications will not be considered complete unless all necessary documents have been submitted.
Grants
Many scholarships, bursaries, and awards are granted through the NSMTC Post-Secondary Education Program and by other institutions throughout Canada. We encourage all students currently enrolled in the program to apply for these opportunities.
