Named after the Mi’kmaq word for “growth,” Nikutik Limited Partnership is a Sovereign Wealth Fund founded by the North Shore Mi’kmaq Tribal Council and its seven Member Nations. Nikutik supports projects that offer financial, social, environmental, and cultural benefits to our NSMTC Member Nations, while also working to position Atlantic Canada as a global leader in clean energy development.

Recently, Tyler Patles, our Director of Technical Services, was featured in the University of New Brunswick's Alumni News: 100,000 Reasons To Be Proud.
“When he first joined NSMTC, Tyler's department was just seven people focused on housing, water, and wastewater. The team is now 24 strong, with Tyler leading them in helping communities build infrastructure, housing, public facilities, clean water, safe sanitation, and emergency management programs.”
